Grip is out of the very first litter sired by Altisette Billy The Kid. She has a very cheeky nature and is definately the house clown only in contention there with her dad Billy and her best mate Merlot. Grip was only our spoilt "pet" but we decided to start showing her so she was leadtrained in early May 2003 & started her show career only days later and winning Reserve Challenge Bitch to her kennelmate Bailey (Altisette Irish Cream) under Breed Specialist Judge Mr. Bill Godfrey (Spaceline SBT S.A.). Mr. Godfrey commented that the quality of the bitches exhibits that day was one of the best he had seen ! One week later Grip was awarded BOB, Reserve Exhibit In Group and Best Puppy In Group under Mr. W. Gunter (NSW)
In June 2003 Grip was awarded BEST JUNIOR EXHIBIT IN SHOW ! At the QLD STAFFORDSHIRE BULL TERRIER SPECIALTY SHOW UNDER MISS PETA REEDER-GIBB.
Her Critique from that show reads :
Judges Critique- “12 month old red bitch, a picture of femininity and breed type. Well balanced, with quality bone and musculation throughout. Correct head with dark round eyes leading to feminine expression. Correct short muzzle, good depth of skull, well placed rose ears. Could do with a tad more stop for head perfection. Strong, well developed body with good depth of brisket and spring of rib. Excellent feet and coat qualities. Would prefer slightly more shoulder angulation, but she possesses particularly impressive hindquarters - well angulated and muscled with well let down hocks that really drove as she powered away on the move. Put down in fit hard condition. Very well handled. Was a real contender in an excellent challenge bitch line up and beat a quality dog to win Best Junior In Show.”
In four short months of limited showing Grip accumulated 97 Challenge points and a win at her first show for 2004 gave her more than enough points to be known as an Australian Champion. This stunning red youngster attained over 300 more Challenge Points by mid 2004.

Grip's latest acheivement was the birth of her beautiful babies in January 2005. Check out her babies Moet ( Altisette Sparklyn Cynyd ) STOP PRESS ** MOET IS NOW A SPECIALTY IN SHOW WINNER AND ALLBREEDS PUPPY IN SHOW WINNER !!! *****, Malibu ( Altisette Yummy Beer Time) Sala ( Altisette Red Red Wine ) Carbon ( Altisette Carbon Copy ) Tommy ( Altisette I'm Tommy) & Cheif ( Altisette Rumna Beer ) who are featured in different areas of our site. As Grip had a hard time having these babies we have decided she will only give us this one very special litter as we promised her she would not go through that again.
Grip will only be shown lightly to make way for her upcoming kids and kennelmates, she will always be a special family member who will continue to keep us smiling !
